The Heart of Your E-Bike
Choosing the right battery is crucial for your conversion kit's performance. The battery determines your range, speed, and overall bike weight.
Battery Types
Lead-Acid Batteries
Cheaper but heavy and bulky. They have a shorter lifespan (300-500 cycles) and take longer to charge. Suitable only for ultra-budget builds where weight is not a concern.
Lithium-Ion Batteries
The industry standard. Lightweight, compact, and long-lasting (800-1000+ cycles). Though initially more expensive, they offer better value over time.
Voltage and Capacity
Match the battery voltage (e.g., 36V, 48V) to your motor kit. Higher capacity (Ah) means longer range. A 36V 10Ah battery is a common starting point for most commuters.
