The Weakest Link?
When you convert a cycle to electric, you add weight (motor + battery) and torque. Standard bicycle spokes are thin (14G) and often snap under this new load, leading to wobbly wheels.
The Upgrade: Heavy Duty Spokes
For e-bikes, you need thicker spokes. We recommend 12G or 13G spokes made from high-tensile steel.
Choosing the Right Size
Spoke length depends on your rim size and motor dimensions:
- 26 Inch MTB: Use our 26" E-Bike Spokes.
- 27.5 Inch MTB: Specific 27.5" Spokes are needed for modern MTBs.
- 29 Inch / 700c: Ensure you get the longer 29" Spokes.
